Continuing Sonja’s Legacy: Art from the Holocaust, Advocacy, and Mindfulness

We are happy to share a taped recording of a Zoom Webinar 3GDC hosted on May 21 with Alana Kessler, a fellow 3G and the Director of Holocaust Education for Sonja's Legacy Foundation. Alana shared her journey connecting with her family’s Holocaust stories, discussed the social responsibility of advocating for Holocaust education and awareness in both Jewish and Interfaith communities, and shared mindfulness practices including the peace with

which making challah for Shabbat can bring.

The journey of Sonja’s Legacy started in 2000 when relatives of Sonja Fischerova discovered art she created in Terezin concentration camp. First and second generation Holocaust survivors and relatives of Sonja have shared this powerful story along with the mission of spreading tolerance and awareness.
