Budding genealogists of all ages eager to dig into their families’ histories gathered at Adas Israel on Sunday, March 10, for the second 3GDC genealogy workshop. 3GDCCommittee members Adam Weissmann and Toby Kaminsky walked participants through the many free online resources available to help trace family records. "Using the online resources presented during the program, I was able to find the manifest for the General Ballou, the ship that brought my grandparents and their 18-month-old daughter to America after the Holocaust,” said attendee and 3G Brant Levine. After the program, participants shared the names of cities and towns where they found a family connection. Below is the map of the many places with connections to our DC community.
